  3. Sanitizing back a lot of the parameters used to interact with users and visitors due to a large amount of SQL injection attacks these days.

Current status v2.8.0 (updated 2015-08-23)

  1. Software upgrade:
    • MySQL (5.5.43 -> 5.5.44)
  2. The next software upgrade (Debian 8) will require some major pre-testing before going live:
    • PHP to jump from 5.3.3 to 5.6.9 (major code review needed there)
    • Apache 2 to jump from 2.2.22 to 2.4.10 (probably some configuration changes)
    • Postfix to jump from 2.9.6 to 2.11.3 with custom Quota patch required
    • Eaccelerator isn't developped anymore, will have to switch to another PHP caching mecanism
    • phpBB3 jump from 3.0.x to 3.1.x (all custom patches to be re-applied)
    • jQuery is obsolete but the new version breaks the cover popups (needs investigating)
    • JPGrach library is obsolete but the new version is not compatible with existing scripts
    • And probably some more obscure incompatibility issues lurking around
    • Will test on a Virtual Machine before pushing anything new...
  3. Added a few more collections: The Music Disc and Jazzvisions
  4. Added the possibility to extra a list of titles based on an actor/director/writer/etc., check out the new IMDB Open search here.
