Current status v2.2.7+ (updated 2011-09-24)

  1. Added a red box warning during the check-out process to highlight that shipping costs are seller-dependant and on top of the cart order.
  2. Little update of the CSS code for the menus. They should look a litle more visually aligned now.
  3. Finished integrating a webmail server for internal adresses (using RoundCube/Postfix VDA).
  4. Updated the new Cooliris logo.
  5. Added "Delete" control on the "recently added" lists for both Collection and Wishlist.
  6. Added "China" as a release country. It's a PAL country for LDs.
  7. Finally moved the database+tables to UTF8, searching with accented characters should work now!
  8. Wrote the code needed to deal with the situation where the same title has 2 differents entries (by mistake) and collection/wishlist/shop/comments have already been added to both. I'll merge them all in a single click now!
  9. Added SNMP monitoring using OpenNMS Removed, was consuming too much CPU

Current status v2.2.7 (updated 2011-09-05)

  1. Software update (was on my task list for quite a while but required some adjustments, previous version has been obsolete for a while!):
  2. It seems that the way images are forwarded to submit HTML Forms changed from IE8.x/IE9.x and FF4 (to respect HTML 5 specs?). Shops behaviour could lead to seemingly non-working shopping carts. This has been fixed now, with a helpful hint from soline (26)

Current status v2.2.6 (updated 2011-08-06)

  1. Software update:
    • Linux Kernel (2.6.39 -> 3.0.0)
    • Lightbox did a great job at popping up covers on each detailed display page but it was maybe time to give it a little refresh. I'm tentatively removing it to try another JavaScript image handler based on JQuery: Fancybox (1.3.4)

Current status v2.2.5 (updated 2011-05-30)

  1. Software update:

Current status v2.2.4 (updated 2011-03-15)

  1. It seems that this upgrade caused some problems with submit/updates containing 's.
    Default in 5.2 was to add backslashes to text in POST value but this is deprecated now. Added the appropriate backslashing when needed. Tell me if you still get "Syntax Error near ... on line 1" bugs.
    • PHP ( -> 5.3.3-7)

Current status v2.2.3 (updated 2011-02-11)

Current status v2.2.2 (updated 2011-02-07)

    • The server (sd-10941) that started operating early 2010 as a forced upgrage will be decommissioned in the next few days.
    • A much better server (sd-25399) has taken over the production site already:
      • Custom VIA-based system -> Dell PowerEdge R210
      • CPU VIA Esther C7 @ 2.0GHz -> Intel Core i3 540 @ 3GHz
      • 1GB RAM -> 4GB RAM
      • HDD 160GB RAID -> HDD SATA2 1TB RAID
      • 100Mbs -> 1Gbs NIC
    • Bandwidth usage in GB/year:
      • 2006: 52.53 GB (17.5 GB/month average)
      • 2007: 136.86 GB (11.4 GB/month average)
      • 2008: 259.52 GB (21.6 GB/month average)
      • 2009: 345.10 GB (28.7 GB/month average)
      • 2010: 180.11 GB (15.0 GB/month average)
    • Updates:

Current status v2.2.1 (updated 2010-11-05)

  1. The "Best Offer" feature would sometimes generate -1% spurious offers when using Internet Explorer.
    I changed the code to be more robust and ask for a more obvious confirmation for the bid. Let's hope it works this time!
  2. Shops contents will now be sorted by title (and not by price anymore) on the default view.
  3. Shop limit price is not $999.99 anymore, but was moved up to $9,999.99.
  4. Inventory XLS export was updated with frozen split and colored rows.
  5. TinyMCE (3.3b2 ->

    • The server (sd-1263) that started operating mid-2006 will be decommissioned at the end of February 2010.

    • HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200 9th Generation 160BG (online lifetime of 30,000+ hours) replaced by same model in RAID1 configuration.
    • Longest uptime was a little more than 600 days.
