I had always wondered why this early made-for-TV film in the career of Tom Hanks had never been released on laserdisc, particularly considering the level of superstardom he went on to achieve. Well, it actually was released, but only in Taiwan! Although there is no release date anywhere on the jacket or disc labels, it was obviously done years after the fact, in an attempt to capitalize on his meteoric rise to fame. The front jacket artwork is dominated by a huge closeup picture of his face. On the back, there is text trumpeting his later successes with Sleepless in Seattle, Forrest Gump, and Apollo 13.
