Although the reference number is shown as JIN-131 on the back of the jacket and disc labels, and in the Mitsubishi mint markings, on the jacket spine it appears as CFV 0300-46.

This version is 2 minutes shorter than the uncut U.S. release [ID2331LI]. In a direct side-by-side comparison of the two discs, I noted missing footage in several scenes on this release. Most of the cuts are brief, and appear to have been made to remove vulgar language, particularly the use of the word "motherf***er". The differences I noted are as follows:

  • In the scene where the group is inspecting the old Grayson Steel Mill as a potential site for the Rave Dance Club, a cut has been made removing two lines of dialog. The deleted lines are Tony Thompson saying, "Far f***ing out!", and Stanton's reply, "This way, man! Over here! Come on, check it out!"
  • During the scene when Beck is chasing Stanton through the steel mill, there are two cuts, each removing a line of dialog. The first is when Stanton shouts, "One or the other, motherf***er!", before running away. The second is when Beck comes up behind Stanton and says, "Wrong, motherf***er, you lose!", and then breaks his neck. Beck's line, as well as the image of him killing Stanton, are missing
  • The largest section of deleted footage occurs during the scene inside the Rave Dance Club. All of the shots of the "Rave Girl" and her date having sex on the chair have been removed. You only see the alien entering her body, and then her facial reaction immediately thereafter. The next thing you see is MacLachlan and Juliet finding the date's dead body on the chair with blood coming out of his mouth, after having been "loved to death".
  • Several lines of dialog have been removed from the scene when the bum, possessed by the alien, encounters the gang members on the street. The first cut removes the portion of the scene when Cold Steel, the gang leader, says to the bum, "Nice boom box, motherf***er!", and the bum replies, "Nice car, motherf***er!" This cut is particularly puzzling, because Cold Steel's earlier line in the scene, "You crazy upside your head, motherf***er?" remains intact on this disc. The second cut occurs when the bum says to Cold Steel, "I said I like the car, motherf***er!", and then shoots him with his own gun. This cut removes only the word "motherf***er" and the last two of the four gunshots.
  • The last cut occurs in the climactic showdown scene with the alien. MacLachlan's line, "Eat this, motherf***er!" has been deleted, right before he shoots Colton, the alien's last human host.
