There is no English name for this laserdisc karaoke album. The original name for this album is mentioned in the cover title, which is "日本歌謠精選 3". Analog tracks contain complete versions of all the songs with guiding vocals for practice. Digital tracks contain only background vocals and music.

There are no Kanji characters for helping people to learn Japanese. That’s why there are only Hiragana characters and additional Roman Spelling on the music videos of this album. Each song has Roman Spelling on top of the normal Japanese Hiragana characters to make it easier for people to read them. Based on my analysis, all the songs in this album were sung by a singer from Taiwan named Chris Hung/Hong Rong Hong (洪榮宏). The last song in this album is a duet with Taiwanese female singer named Jody Chiang (江蕙).

Side A begins with a brief chapter numbered 0, naming the scenic locations where the music videos were shot. On the back side of the jacket, there is no Roman Spelling in the tracklisting. The song list mentions the Chinese version of each song so that it is easier for the audience to identify what songs they are. (Note that the names of the Chinese songs refer to either popular Mandarin Chinese or Hokkien Chinese songs.)
