The same film was also released by Ocean Shores in a longer version with different jacket art as [OL-470].

I obtained my copy of this disc from a seller in Singapore. In fact, you can see the Singapore censor's sticker in the cover photo shown above. The title is shown on the sticker as "THE UNHOLY (EDITED)". I suspect that this shorter version with less nudity and violence may have been released specifically for distribution in areas such as Singapore with a stricter censorship code. It is interesting to note that all of the text on the jacket is in English, whereas the longer release has a significant amount of Chinese text on its' jacket. This would seem to indicate that it was the one intended for distribution in the Hong Kong market.

In a direct side-by-side comparison with the longer release, I found that this disc is 5 minutes shorter. There is footage missing from four scenes, as follows:

• The first scene in which the demon kills Father Dennis is much shorter, missing much of the nudity and gore. It does not show the demon ripping out his throat and the blood gushing out. You can only hear the slashing sound, and then see him lying dead on the floor with blood around his throat.
• A few seconds of nudity has been removed from the sacrifice scene in the Threshold Nightclub.
• The scene in which Millie asks Father Michael to make love to her is about one minute shorter. You don't see her undress in front of him, and most of the conversation is missing in which he refuses to let her tempt him.
• The final battle with the demon in the church is noticeably shorter. A large section of nudity has been deleted from the beginning of this scene. Some footage is also missing from Father Michael's hallucination, including a lesbian kiss and a small amount of gore.
  All of these appear in their entirety on the longer release.
