Additional Information by zackspaw (12)   17/05/2010

Part of VAP's 'Man & His Music' series, depicting both music and its creation in documentary form.

From the back cover:

The film begins with the Consort recording in one of the largest cathedrals in the world, The Cathedral of St. John The Divine in New York City. It concludes with the Consort riding the powerful white water rapids while we hear music inspired by the experience. Carrying their instruments and recording equipment in small rubber rafts, the Winter Consort journeys down the 277-mile length of the Colorado River through Grand Canyon National Park. Paul's dream was to immerse each member of the Consort in the experience....(so that) the music would be of the Canyon rather than about it.
