NOTE: The entertainment genre of this series is known as BackGround Video or, more familiarly, BGV. BGV's overlay elegant video footage with quality music performances, without narrative and often without titles or subtitles. The result is a far more entertaining, eloquent, and soothing way to immerse oneself in the joy of good music than by simply staring at musicians on a stage. This particular series matches the visual imagery of classic European venues with popular works of classical music.

From the back cover:

"You are invited on a journey into sound, in which the visual perfectly complements the musical. You will discover a powerful link between landscapes and the rhythms articulated through those great composers who were inspired by them. Nowhere, perhaps, is this relationship more strongly realized in the castles, museums, churches, and cathedrals of Europe, each commemorating traditions of musical patronage and worship which have shaped civilization throughout the ages."

Identical to [3.110025-J], issued by Naxos as part of its Naxos Laserdisc Classsics series. Produced in Zurich, Switzerland.
