Encoded in Tate System SQ Surround Sound (i.e. CBS SQ Quadraphonic). Tate Audio Ltd, creator of the Tate DES for advanced SQ decoding, had bought the patents and licensing rights for SQ from CBS Labs. The Tate DES chips for SQ decoding were also used in Dolby's theatrical Dolby Stereo decoders and Pro-Logic was developed by Dolby to get out of licensing Tate DES chips from Gary Reber.
