Program apparently not referenced anywhere in the IMDb. Rare case of an F1 Grand Prix LD released in Japan with English narration. Japanese/US/Italian production.

Documentary covering in detail F1 (mostly) spectacular or deadly accidents, from Le Mans' 1955 tragedy to Gilles Villeneuve's 1982 fatal crash. Several interviews with Nicky Lauda, survivor of one of those, and with other pilots (some of them now dead). Jackie Stewart takes us aboard his convertible Rolls Royce to drive the Nurburgring and comment on its dangers. Colin Chapman replies to a suggestion his Lotus cars are dangerous. We also get a glimpse of technical progress over the decades, starting with some footage of early 20th century races, all the way to present days, with a special note about Renault's introduction of the turbo engine in F1. Ironically, we get a glimpse of Senna in the paddock and on the podium, who was to be the next race fatality 7 years later.
