Dolby Digital is a form of audio coding developed by Dolby Laboratories to efficiently reduce the space needed to store and transmit digital audio.With Dolby Digital,multiple-5 channel surround sound uses a lower bit rate than is needed for just one channel on Compact Disc, yet as the press comments above attest, sound quality remains very high.This combination of efficiency and quality reflects Dolby's thirty years of experience developing signal processing systems based upon research into how sound is perceived.Dolby Digital was first used to provide 5.1 channel digital surround sound with movies in the format known as SR-D.This multichannel format is now available to consumers on Laser Discs, and has been adopted for future formats. Dolby Digital is not one rigid scheme, but a family of processes with parameters such as bit-rate and number of channels tailored to the particular applications.

Opens up with the "City" trailer. This disc is the only time said trailer can (probably) be seen letterboxed on LaserDisc, as well as the only time that the "Long" version of the "Train" trailer was released at home.

This disc was also released on DVD later the same year, under the catalog [PIBW-1004] (NTSC R2 ¥5,000 60min. 4988102935117) in a jewel case.
