Originally title was "Scrooge" and later retitled "A Christmas Carol" this disc returns the orignal title to the LD. This disc was mastered from an original British 35mm negative.

Alistair Sims stars as Scrooge. Patrick Macnee appears as Young Marley.

This Collector's Edition was cleaned up and remastered from the previous disc release and though it still shows age related problms, it is a significant step up.

Extras include:

  • Forward and Afterward by Patrick Macnee.
  • Chap.21 Sing Along "Silent Night"
  • Chap.22 Sing Along "O Come All Ye Faithful"
  • Chap.23 "Snow Foolin'" a 1946 bouncing ball Screen song of "Jingle Bells"
  • Chap.24 "Santa's Surprise" a Little Audrey Christmas entry brings music and cartoon action to the program.
  • Chap.25 Max Fleischer classic cartoon "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" mastered from an excellent 35mm IB Technicolor print.
