Box set contains both:

"V: miniseries"
"V: The Final Battle"

Picture quality looks about like what they probably did when they first aired in 1983 and 1984, which is to say not so great.

The program has also been cut! I have not verified the extent of the cuts, but the first miniseries is missing at least several minutes from the opening scene. This may be the way the program was sold to syndication, but later video editions contained the original full-length version.

The box set includes a full-color booklet with a cast guide and some shots of the models being built. Each disc comes in a paper sleeve with unique artwork on it. On the last disc there is a brief 15-minute making-of supplement (in English) about the special effects.

The only actual date I have found is the "pre-order cutoff" of March 15, 1988. The date I've listed here is 6 weeks out from that, on Monday the 25 of April.
