Demo disc for in-store use in Hong Mong and Singapore to demonstrate 16:9 TVs. High quality “squeezed” stock footage with songs (including “Dreams” by The Cranberries)

From the back cover:

Welcome to the “Wide Vision” World! A wonderful new world opens up before you on a 16:9 wide-angle screen. What was previously hidden is now fully visible. Sounds that we’re previously unheard are now all around you.

This laser disk has been produced to demonstrate Sharp’s highquality (sic) “wide vision” TV. With its enhanced aspect ratio of 16:9, the “wide vision” TV features a wider screen and a wider viewing angle than conventional 4:3 TVs. This provides images of greater power and a more realistic ambience. The 16:9 aspect ratio is almost the same as that if a cinema screens, so you can watch movies at their full original size.

Sharp’s “wide vision” TV incorporates a powerful sound system that magnified the feeling of being “inside” the world that is being presented on the screen. This synergy between the superb stereo effect, powerful bass sounds and wide-angle screen provide a feast for both the eyes and the ears.

We are convinced that the powerful images and sound of our “wide vision” TV will provide the new audiovisual experience that you have been looking for.
