This appears to be an open matte transfer. When compared to the letterboxed Hong Kong release [ML 668], this disc displays noticeably more picture material at the top and bottom of the image, although the Hong Kong disc displays slightly more on the sides.

This version is 4 minutes shorter than the Hong Kong release. In a direct side-by-side comparison of the two discs, I discovered that most of the difference in running time is due to time compression on the Indonesian disc. However, I did note two other minor differences. This Indonesian release includes a brief bit of footage (about 8 seconds) of Rabar, the tribal chief's son, following Michael and Elizabeth through the desert, which inexplicably is absent from the Hong Kong disc. Also, this Indonesian release is missing about 20 seconds of footage of Elizabeth wading topless and bathing in the water hole, which is included on the Hong Kong disc.
