Very early Pioneer demonstration disc for the Japanese market.

Side 1 features a demonstration of the many features of the LaserDisc system such as frame select, slow motion, fast forward, & rewind. Oddly enough, this demonstration is done using film tricks and not using a LaserDisc machine. There is also footage of the LaserDisc manufacturing process which is identical to that found on chapter 33 & 34 of the Reference LaserDisc ( [GGV1069] ). In addition there is concert footage to demonstrate the sound quality, bilingual animation to demonstrate the multi-audio features, and other "high-quality" demonstration footage in Japanese. Purely linear demonstration footage with no interactivity.

Side 2's emphasis is on the interactive features of the LaserDisc, including (very, very corny/badly acted) skits and animation in English and Japanese designed to demonstrate chapter skipping as a way to "choose your own path" for both adults & children. The first half of the side is purely linear with no interactivity. The second half allows you to use the interactive features for yourself. There are many, many chapters on this side.
