This is a slightly edited version, and is 5 minutes shorter than the uncut U.S. release [LV12940].

In a direct side-by-side comparison with the U.S. release, I found that this version is missing footage from several scenes, as follows:

• In the first scene at the bar/brothel, Tonk's Place, most of the simulated sex by Delores and Barbusoir has been removed, although none of it was particularly graphic.
• The scene in which Corey is reading the book his father left him is noticeably shorter. Most of the removed footage is from the flashbacks which show Delores reviving the dead woman who had been killed by a jealous lover. The shots of Delores fondling the woman's breast and stabbing her with the knife are missing.
• Most of the gore has been deleted from the second scene at Tonk's Place when the Hand of Satan rips the man's face apart.
• Corey is not seen peeking in on the couple having sex after he goes downstairs at Tonk's Place.
• The sex scene with Corey and Delores is missing footage. The shots of Corey touching Delores' breast with the ice cube and running his hands over her body have been removed.
• During Corey's vision, the footage of the two women in the bathtub looking at the bird's heart has been deleted.
• The gag ending with two ghouls sitting at a table drinking, which appears after the closing credits on the U.S. release, has been completely removed from this version.
