Additional Information by laserking (42)   19/12/2012

This is a slightly edited version, and is 7 minutes shorter than the U.S. release [1624-85]. Jacket wrongly lists running time as 120 minutes. It is impossible to say for certain where the disc was made due to a total lack of mint markings. However, since there are no "rings of dashes" in the inner and outer blank areas, it does not appear to have come from PDO UK. Most of the time, the subtitles are outside of the picture, in the black letterboxing band at the bottom of the screen. They only overlap the picture when the translation requires 2 lines of Taiwanese characters.

This version seems to have been edited for television. There are numerous passages of dialog which have been dubbed to eliminate foul language. This dubbing is quite poorly done and very obvious at times, replacing the obscenities on the original soundtrack with such ridiculous lines as "mean old sucker!"
