Filmed at the Suzuka circuit in Japan as part of the "Future Plans" program by Pioneer LDC & Fuji Television Network Inc Video Division (Home Video Planning & Production Division) using "Hi-Vision" cameras. The picture size on this is "ready" for the arrival of widescreen television - select the format from your TV controls or TV remote. On the OBI it states "HI-VISION" but on the follow up disc to this (It's Real 2 [PILW-1102]) the OBI makes no mention of Hi-Vision & states "HD" instead.

It's Real 1&2 later issued on [PILH-2001] as a MUSE Hi-Vision release. The picture quality is superb, you really can see an increase in the picture quality. On the rear cover credits it states that it was "Race sound recorded in VIRTUAL AUDIO for VIRTUAL AUDIO SYSTEMS" & the sound quality is outstanding. I have been told that the numbers pressed on this & the follow up disc were lower than the numbers for other Pioneer F-1/motorsport releases as it was part of a test programme & sales were expected to be very low (can anyone confirm if this is correct please?).
