This Japanese VIDEOARTS release has a stated running time of 104 minutes, the feature running time is a few seconds over 103 minutes. The US CRITERION laserdisc release [CC1282L] has a stated running time of 98 minutes so it may be the often called 25th Anniversary edition which was used & it has a number of cuts/scenes removed, this Japanese issue appears to be the complete version as originally presented on its initial release.

Comes with a 29x29cm one-sided printed insert which has all the text in Japanese & it is printed with green ink. The front & rear cover text is in English.

From the rear cover "Now newly re-mastered" & the transfer is very good given the original source material. After the VIDEOARTS logo there is the usual CRITERION opening logo on screen just before the feature start.
