Side 1 (CLV 59 minutes) contains the 1938-1988 history of Pioneer plus two spots celebrating the 50th anniversary of the company.

Side 2 is CAV (53220 frames), documents Pioneer's technology, and pictures in still mode a large number of products (frames 50100 and up), referenced in a 4 pages index.

Disc is housed in a book titled "AV Creator Pioneer", 192 pages hard cover: full color up to page 132, inserted into a slip case: 40 years retrospective, present (1980s) products and technology review, events month by month since 1938, all past financial statements, various company info.

English narration version of this Laserdisc was released under [PIO-0050E] but only the LD in standard cover without any bonus.

A great boxset for those interested in Pioneer's history. Side 1 contains a wealth of historical footage, images of the many products Pioneer produced, and lots of old commercials and other video content. Side 2 contains a more in-depth look into Pioneer's tech, and a wealth of stillframes that show every single electronic they had put out up to that point.

Great if you know Japanese, but if you don't it's still possible to follow along.
