This disc quickly disappeared from the LD catalog due to large amounts of discs with Laser Rot. It's also coded strangely and on the DVL-700 LD/DVD/CD player (and Pioneer players with AC-3 recognition chips), identifies as a Dolby Digital AC-3 encoded title with only the Left Analog audio track output, making it incompatible with that player.

If you can find a good, non-rotted copy, the US 12-inch release has superior audio/video quality compared to the 8-inch Japanese release - the US release also has better, less noisy, video mastering and pressing than the Japan disc. Although unmarked, the US release is Dolby Surround encoded (as confirmed by Dolby Labs). Listening comparisons using the Shure HTS-5300 Acra-Vector Surround Decoder shows the Japanese release to be standard stereo with slightly duller sound than the US pressing. I do not know if the PAL release is surround encoded or not.
