This is a demonstration disc produced by DiscoVision Associates to promote their PR-7820 player and software to potential industrial customers.

Completely filled with samples of their interactive programming (requires a PR-7820 to run the interactive content) from many sources:

  • Side 1:
    • System overview & LD features demo (trick-play)
    • CPR
    • Law enforcement training
    • Disc manufacturing & theory of operation
    • NASA images from Voyager
    • FBI wanted list
    • Art gallery
    • Bilingual demo (tying a knot, card games)
    • Video demo (Yosemite, children playing in park)
    • Text to video demo (using a DiscoVision white paper)

  • Side 2:
    • General Motors (showroom display)
    • Sears (catalog)
    • Columbia S&L (customer demo: home equity)
    • IBM (5260 Retail System training)
    • Bank of America (teller training)
    • University of Nebraska (Tacoma Narrows Bridge collapse)
    • Vaught Aircraft (flight simulation)
    • Interactive Television Co (building walk-through simulation)

Stereo program, in some sections the L&R audio differs - the programming would automatically switch either channel on or off. Some samples are bilingual, others are for responses to quiz answers.

This will play on most consumer players, but was designed to run exclusivly on the DiscoVision PR-7820 which could process the code on the discs for implementing the interactive menues (which functioned to almost the same complexity as modern DVD).

The layout of the program material on this disc is apparently chaotic when played straight through. However, this is because it was mastered with the beginning of the program in the middle of the disc - intended to reduce seek-time when jumping from the main menu to the various demos.
