The "voice" of baby Mikey is dubbed by Bruce Willis in the original version and by Daniel Auteuil in the French version. But Bruce Willis' French voice, Patrick Poivey, was originally recorded for the role before it was decided to be replaced for marketing reasons. The unused French voice was accidentally found on the film's Laserdisc, although the credits still mentioned the presence of Daniel Auteuil. The text is strictly the same, all the other actors are the same and the takes are identical, with the exception of Mikey's sister at the end who is dubbed by another actress and whose text is slightly different: "Ah, I'm washed up! I've had a terrible day, I've got to tell you that!" instead of "Don't piss me off, man! You don't know what kind of day I've had. Let's have a meal" in the film version.
