I believe both films are silent but both have Music and Effects.

Back cover says Liberty has Musical accompaniment and sound effects are provided by the original M-G-M "Vitaphone" soundtrack, recorded on a sixteen inch disc and meant to be manually synchronized with the picture by the theater projectionist.
