Sleeve uses the original Japanese artwork, but includes a new back in English applied as an overlay sticker with adhesive only at the top edge (so you can flip it up and view the original Japanese text too, if so desired).

Also a pair of 11.75" x 23.5" liner note sheets with annotated concept sketches, background art, and plot backstory: one in full color, in Japanese, and a monochrome version translated to English.

  • Short interview of Hiroko Kasahara (VA of Armitage) & her recording English version closing theme "Phantom World"
  • Trailers for Tenchi Muyo & Kinshin Corps

This transfer, like most of the Pioneer USA anime LD titles, exhibit cross-color artifacts on older equipment using notch filters or simplified 2-line comb filters. Newer displays with 3D adaptive comb filters should fare a little better, but the transfer overall is quite unfortunate in this respect.
It should also be noted that this issue was unfortunately still present on Pioneer's 2002 R1 DVD release (which also strangely doesn't include the interview, nor any transcript of the liner notes, tho the sketches & backgrounds did make it in as a gallery item - in color even, but no longer annotated.)
