Mastered under the supervision of Vittorio Wtoraro, using an early THX prototype.

When this disc was released, it was reviewed by the Los Angeles Times and in that article, it was related that this was the prototype disc, and thus the first, THX certified disc. However the disc was released prior to the THX certification program. Apparently the disc went through all of the same tests and processing that was to later be the THX certification process.

The back of the jacket has a section titled "Laserdisc Production Technical Information", which reads:

"This Laserdisc was mastered from the 35mm interpositive and the original EK negative under the supervision of Vittorio Storaro. The sound was remixed by Walter Murch at Skywalker Sound North from the 6 track master. The soundtrack was Dolby encoded and monitored using Dolby Surround/Home THX Audio System. Telecine Color Timing by Lou Levinson. Technical Consultant, Al Limon. Produced by Garrett Smith."

On my copy, there seems to be what appears to be a Barcode pattern slightly popping out from underneath all of the first three side labels.

Back of the cover says that the movie is presented in “Anamorphic widescreeen”, despite the fact that it’s letterboxed and not anamorphically squeezed.

From Wikipedia (2019):

The first letterboxed appearance, on Laserdisc on December 29, 1991, cropped the film to a 2:1 aspect ratio (conforming to the Univisium spec created by cinematographer Vittorio Storaro), and included a small degree of pan-and-scan processing at the insistence of Coppola and Storaro. The end credits, from a videotape source rather than a film print, were still crushed for 1.33:1 and zoomed to fit the anamorphic video frame.
