Side 1 starts with warning screen similar to the one used by Disney in their UK VHS releases, then goes straight to the film like in most Encore Entertainment laserdisc releases. The fading transition between the shot of Hannah and Buzz with his broken arm to a shot of a doorknob as Woody is trying to get out on one of the rooms were cut out between sides. Compared to USA release [6703 AS] where side 1 ends with Woody's "...we can blink 'em to death" line and side 2 begins where Andy returns home from Pizza Planet while Andy's toys try to find Buzz using a flashlight. Side 2 ends with the UK version of the teaser trailer (mentioned as original theatrical trailer in the packaging) which has the trailer announcer saying "This holiday season..." muted, shows the Disneyland Paris logo when the film's title appears and replaces the "Coming to Theaters Thanksgiving" card with the "Coming to Life Soon" card, then "The Story Behind Toy Story" featurette split into 6 chapters.

Also uses different chapter marks and names including the British-appropriate "Buzz Takes a Tumble".

Released as one of the launch titles for Encore Entertainment’s partnership with Disney in 1997 alongside Die Hard with a Vengeance [EE 1177] and Crimson Tide [EE 1184].
