This version is much shorter due to various cuts in the US version compared to the original Japanese release. This is missing various scenes regarding the wife and daughter of the Sugiyama family in a small driving scene, as well as the leader to Shohei buying a dance book while shopping at the mall with his family. As well as slightly longer cuts and transitions throughout the entire film.
