This is quoted from the Laserdisc Newsletter by Douglas Pratt:

"As we reported in our Aug 96 issue, FoxVideo's initial Widescreen Edition release of The Verdict (0118885, $50) was missing about three minutes of important footage. The disc was recalled and new versions, with the footage restored, have been issued in replacement. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell from the jacket cover whether one has a corrected version or the flawed version and you know retailers. To determine whether you have a good copy or a bad copy, access chapter 23 on side two. If chapter 23 starts at 49:45, you're okay. If it starts at 46:58, then you're missing the last three minutes or so of chapter 22 and you need to exchange the disc."

The corrected version of this disc is separately listed at [0118885]. The corrected version has the same catalog number, but a different barcode.
