This planned special edition was to have included the original theatrical trailer and a commentary track featuring Stephen King. It was scheduled for release in the spring of 1996. Although this letterboxed U.S. release was canceled, a Japanese edition was released with the film letterboxed at a slightly narrower 2.10:1 ratio as [SF078-5210].
