The film's main soundtrack is presented in Mono, but the Goldfinger theme song is presented in Stereo. And at the back of the box, it has the wrong information for the film's running time and aspect ratio. It says for the running time that it's 1 Hour and 55 minutes long, but the movie is only 1 hour and 50 minutes long. And it also says that the aspect ratio is 1.66:1, but this transfer uses a cropped 1.85:1 aspect ratio.

Similar package style to this on Thunderball: Deluxe Collector's Edition [ML105199] which was released about six months after the Goldfinger set.

The three discs come in different inner sleeves:

  1. with stills from the feature film
  2. with "behind the scenes" production stills
  3. with studio/staged stills

These sets should include two paper inserts:

  • A rather nice large four page colour book(let) with feature notes, comprehensive details of the analog left & right commentary tracks & laserdisc production credits.
  • A subscription offer sheet for "GOLDENEYE the magazine of the Ian Fleming Foundation" A4 size.

This is a great transfer, both picture & sound quality are very good.
