Audio Track Information:

  • Digital Tracks - the original Russian soundtrack
  • Analog Tracks - the English dubbed soundtrack

About the transfer:

Dersu Uzala was transfered from a 35mm anamorphic colour reversal internegative in the Cinemascope aspect ratio of 2.35:1. Both the English and Russian soundtracks were created from seperate 35mm optical soundtrack negatives. The intermittent film scratch on the left side of the screen is inherent in the source materials, which were the best available elements. The new English subtitles where created from an updated Russian-to-English translation.

Dersu Uzala was originaly shot in 70mm (Sovescope 70), which has an aspect ratio of 2.20:1.
