There is actually two kinds of First Printing Edition of this title.
- True First Edition, the Discs were manufactured by DADC USA, which was printed on bottom of back jacket and also on each Disc Labels, comes with rather mediocre picture quality and no digital soundtrack on theatrical trailer. This was a critical error but sales street date was such eminent, so Criterion inserted a notice paper which says there is no digital soundtrack on trailer so select analog track while playing, thus this First Editon was sold n time on date.
- Apparently Criterion was upset about the result, quickly made Second First Edition, with the Discs newly manufactured in Japan by Kuraray, with much better picture quality of crispness and brightness, and digital soundtrack on Theatrical Trailer. Disc Labels were also remade with no notice of the Disc Manufacturer. Same jackets were used but with a correction sticker on bottom of back which says "DISCS MANUFACTURED IN JAPAN JACKET PRINTED IN USA."
