This was THE first "real" letterboxed release on any home videoformat. There was movies released earlier on Laserdisc that were letterboxed such as Halloween for example, but this was the first one not to be cropped at all! It was released several months before the legendary letterboxed edition of Manhattan by Woddy Allen.
PLEASE NOTE: This videodisc features RCA's innovative wide-screen mastering technique. In order to preserve the complete width of the film in the space available on a television screen, a black area will appear at the top and bottom consistently throughout the film.
