This was THE first "real" letterboxed release on any home videoformat in the USA. There was movies released earlier on Laserdisc that were letterboxed such as Halloween for example, but this was the first one not to be cropped at all! It was released several months before the legendary letterboxed edition of Manhattan by Woddy Allen on CED [RCA 01483] and LD [ML100469].
