Custom LD pressing from "Ponessa Productions" intented to be used in schools/universities as educational material.

Additional Information by laserking (42)   24/06/2009

Documentary by Rev. Joseph L. Ponessa, divided into three segments as follows:

  1. still-frame photo section of ancient monuments
  2. narrated tour of the Jerusalem Wall and gates
  3. conceptual look at the bridges of Rome

The still-frame section includes 580 frames with photographs of ancient monuments from Europe and the Middle East. The photos are in chronological order, beginning with the earliest from the Egyptian dynasties, through those from the first nine centuries of Western civilization. The disc is packaged in a plain white jacket without artwork, but with a complete listing of the still frame numbers on both front and back covers. A double-sided insert is included with barcodes for random access to the still frames.

The digital audio tracks feature various traditional Christian hymns during the final two segments. During the Jerusalem Wall segment, analog track 1/L features the tour narration, while analog track 2/R features various Hebrew and Gregorian chants. During the Bridges of Rome segment, analog track 1/L features a reading of the poem "Horatius at the Bridge" by Thomas Macaulay, while analog track 2/R features Polyphony by the Cantores in Ecclesia choir.

Although my copy bears Pioneer USA mint markings like those shown here, it is my understanding that the first pressing of this disc was done at 3M/Imation.
