Program is anamorphic most of the time. Insert includes a blue filter. Apparently a significant fraction of the production is defective (picture breaks, freezes and skips).

Translation from some of the Japanese text on the insert and disc jacket:

• Chapter 1 Introduction
• Chapter 2 & 3 Screen mode check

• Chapter 5 Red Field - Used to check magnetic interference (speakers and equipment etc.) which will show up as uneven colour on the red screen
• Chapter 6 Color bars - Matching the colours to the picture on the back of the jacket looking through the blue filter also to make adjustmets
• Chapter 7 Gray scale adjustment
• Chapter 8 Test pattern - Horizontal and Vertical resolution
• Chapter 9 Multiburst - Checking the bandwidth of the video system
• Chapter 10 Visual Demonstration
• Chapter 23 & 24 Video ID check - Used to check the automatic picture ratio mode on your TV (normal 4:3 signal and widescreen 16:9 signal)

As mentioned above this comes with an insert - printed on lightweight stiff card (29cm x 29cm) with all the text on both sides in Japanese.

The "blue filter" is mounted on the top right of the insert & is (viewing area) 10cm x 2cm in size.

There has been mention of a fairly serious defect with this disc. About 10 years ago 2 copies passed through my hands & both played perfectly. I recently acquired (2018) a "new sealed" copy & have checked it on 2 different PIONEER players & it, like the other discs, plays perfectly. Perhaps worth checking if you can but the 3 discs I have checked have all performed exactly as they should.
