Notes about the transfer (edited from the back jacket): "Rasputin-The Mad Monk is presented uncut and in the 2.10:1 aspect ratio. The film was shot in 'Cinemascope' to be projected theatrically in the 2.25:1 aspect ratio. When we attempted to transfer the film in the theatrical format, a distracting optical distortion appeared on the right and left sides of the frame. After consulting with the video technicians at 20th Century Fox, we decided to transfer the picture in the 2.10:1 aspect ratio."
