Edited from the included notes card:

"This edition of 'Swing Time" was made from RKO's 1" video master which in turn was made from the best 35mm fine grain print currently available. Unfortunately the original 35mm silver nitrate negative, which we would have preferred to work with, had deteriorated beyond the point of usefulness.

The sound was remixed for this edition. Because of the limited dynamic range of the original sound track we decided not to use the CX process, which rather than removing the unwanted background noise, would have caused a "pumping" effect, thus making it even more noticable.

Beginning on frame #39606 we have inserted colour-bars. Superimposed over the colour bars is a white box showing the "safe-title" area. This box should appear "centered" on a properly adjusted TV set or monitor.

Since "Swing Time" is black and white, optimal viewing will be with the "colour" level on your TV or monitor turned all the way down."

Original pressing by 3M with grey cover. Has two individual cardboard sleeves with pictures on one side. Re-released with black cover.
